This week we recognize Nation Invest in Veterans Week (NIVW), a week that should be held dear to all our hearts. If it wasn’t for the strength and endurance of our veterans and active-duty military, our country would not be able to experience the freedoms we do. Three men recognized this when they co-founded this special week. Lieutenant Colonel Rickey L. Pope, Drayton Florence, and Jeff Shuford intended to empower the public to invest in the veteran population through veteran-owned business sustainment, educational development, and mental health empowerment.
