STUART, Florida, February 17, 2020 – “Amazingly successful and greatly appreciated!” Those words best describe the inaugural VIP Roses & Love Notes™ campaign by VIP Home Health Referrals created to share some love with seniors on Valentine’s Day.
“Thanks to the big hearts and kindness of people and businesses throughout the areas we serve, we were able to hand out more than 800 Valentine’s cards and hundreds of roses to seniors,” said Jill Ball, President, VIP America.
The cards and roses came from individuals, school art classes, Chambers of Commerce, small and large businesses, VIP employees and their families, and even from condominium associations.
“One particular group of ladies at an oceanfront condominium heard about VIP Roses & Love Notes and immediately organized a group of twenty women to do special cards. They delivered one-hundred-thirty cards. We also received a lot of hand made cards from the art departments at several schools. The outpouring of love proves that our communities care about senior citizens more so than we could ever have imagined,” added Ball.
The VIP Roses & Love Notes™ campaign was so effective that VIP America is already making plans to make the program for seniors an annual event.
“With every card or rose donated, the question everyone asked is if we will do this again next year so more people can send love to a senior citizen on Valentine’s Day. Without hesitation, the answer is yes. Just as our seniors received a lift to their spirts and a smile on their faces, we know everyone who donated also felt the love,” said Ball.
Those who experienced firsthand the gratitude of seniors receiving the cards and roses said the response was heartfelt.
“When I handed a card to our client you could see she as so grateful. She gave me a huge hug. I had to wipe away a tear – we were both crying – when I asked how are you doing today and the smiling response was ‘Much better now, thank you’. It was very powerful to be able to make a difference in her day. We could not have done this without the help from everyone who donated roses, signed cards or created handmade cards. We are so thankful for everyone’s efforts,” said Dahimy Castro, Client Services, VIP Fort Myers.
